Narrowing down your packing list can be an intimidating and hard thing to do. When you can only fit all of your belongings into a teeny, tiny backpack every clothing option counts. There are 3 types of pants you need and each has different functions – but all of them have similarities like being comfortable, stretchy and stylish. You can dress them up or down and mix and match with different tops to create a million different looks. They each have pockets to keep your things secure without needing to haul a purse around AND they look good AF.
Let’s get to it, the 3 best pants for traveling are these:
To me, as a curvy woman, jeans are the worst. They are the enemy. I literally HATE wearing jeans – unless they’re extremely stretchy, but even then I’d opt for some comfortable leggings. Jeggings were an amazing invention, but unfortunately, many of them just look really cheap and ugly.
Because my legs are large, they rub together
chub rub and I never feel comfortable squeezing them into jeans. I lived in stretchy tights and cotton leggings…until I found these Aviator Jeans and honestly, they’ve changed my life.
They are super stretchy – like yoga pants stretchy. They don’t make my legs feel like sausages trying to escape the casing.
They’re maaaad comfortable, stylish and made of good quality fabrics.
They are really great for traveling because they have really deep pockets to hold all my things- including my Samsung S8! The back pocket even has a hidden zipper to keep my money/bank card/keys/etc secured.
I don’t really know why low cut jeans even exist but these have the perfect mid to high waist that keeps everything tight and looking right.
Trust me, you will be obsessed with these too once you try them. They’re a little bit more expensive than I normally spend on
anything ever jeans, but they are worth it!
Oh, leggings… a curvy girl’s best friend.
I never really expect much from leggings because the problem with most is that they don’t always stay up, they usually have no pockets and sometimes they just look too casual.
These leggings from Royal Robbins take care of each of those concerns.
They are stylish and comfortable. The fabric is super stretchy and thicker than normal leggings and they have a front seam running down the front of your leg which makes you look slimmer. They’re sexy AF and look like normal pants so you can easily dress them up or down.
In addition to the style and comfort of these leggings – they have 2 front secure zipper pockets and are wrinkle resistant! This makes them perfect for traveling. You never have to worry about your phone, keys or money falling out of your pocket because they are secured with zippers.
Like I said before, I need a mid-to-high waistband to keep me feeling comfortably secure. These have a great high waistband that tucks you in a little while smoothing out your silhouette.
These are the only leggings you need for life – and your travels.
If you plan on doing any kind of outdoor activities, you need to bring a pair of these hiking pants. I pretty much lived in these while we were in Huaraz, Peru.
Usually, when I think of hiking pants, I think of those boxy, unflattering convertible pants that are basically men’s pants. These are the opposite of those, you may actually feel sexy in them.
As always in any pants that I use, they have a good amount of stretch, are a stylish cut and are made for a woman’s curves.
They’re resistant to stains, rain, and harmful UV rays.
They have a drawstring closure which is perfect for when you’re feeling a little bloated and need extra room, or when you’ve lost weight after doing a million hikes and need to make them tighter.
On the technical side they have Omni-Shield which helps you stay clean and dry by repelling moisture. They are light weight, affordable and you’ll look amazing in them.
