Waiting at the airport flew by because I checked in quickly with no line. Grabbed some food and before I knew it, it was time to board. Once boarding started we all got on to a bus which then drove us to the plane and we walked up the staircase into the plane. I think this was the second time I ever did that. It was different lol.
I arrived in Chiang Mai and grabbed a airport taxi to the hostel. This trip I have a little more money to spend so I didn’t bother walking around looking for a tuk tuk just to save a dollar or two while feeling incredibly uncomfortable lugging my big backpack around.
I was early for check in so I decided to relax for a bit in the common area, eat some food and look into some of the amazing excursions available in Chiang Mai. There is so much to do here! Elephant trekking tours, biclycle tours, Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Suthep, Zipling, multi-day treks, day trips to Chiang Rai and the Golden triangle and more.
Once I got settled in my room I signed up for the Siam Rice Cooking School class and after reading the amazing reviews on trip advisor. I explore the city a bit and visited Wat Prah Singh, one of the temples on my list of must see temples. It was breath taking.
I only had a few hours before the cooking class begun so I headed back to the hostel to get ready before the class.
